Welcome to Paradise: Whitsunday Islands

The Whitsundays are a group of 75 islands off the coast of Queensland. The sand of theses beaches consists of a 98 % quartz content which gives them a bright white colour. They are one of the whitest beaches in the world!

The islands look like a paradise and definitely need to be on your bucket list. Actually, it was one of my favourite stops during my road trip and I have never seen such a beautiful panorama before. Definitely take part in a sailing tour through the islands, where you can feel the wind and the sun on your face. If you really want to enjoy the nature without it being stressful take a trip with at least one overnight stay. It's also great to sit on board in the middle of the Whitsunday Islands with other travellers having a beer or wine while the stars are glittering above you.

MUST DO: The Whitsundays are a snorkelling paradise - grab some fins and visit the fish and corals! There are about 1500 species of colourful fish and 400 coral species here. The moment you dive into the water, you are in another world: everything is calm and colourful. Many fish and even some turtles come 1 m close to you if you do not move too fast.

INSIDER TIP: There are so many different providers for the tours, and sometimes it's just hard to decide for one. I have chosen the trip with Atlantic Clipper- they provide you with an awesome experience with the best value for money.
